There are so many concert venues in the region, so why would anyone open another one?
The answer is simple. This live venue is more than music. It's a restaurant, a recording studio, a stage, and a multi-use entertainment space designed by musicians for the eclectic community of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Located in the heart of downtown Gloucester, the people of the city are very excited for The Cut Live. There are many musicians in this iconic coastal town who play the region and the country. Now, they have one main spot to highlight their talents locally, but national acts can also find the essence of this town the way we know and love it.
The name comes from the small canal that joins Gloucester Harbor and the Annisquam River. A local says, "We call that "the cut".

The vision of The Cut Live is more community-based, although national acts are booking here already. The space will bring tourism to downtown Gloucester year-round instead of just in the summer, according to WickedLocal.com. With great food and great music, it's also a perfect spot for weddings or special occasions.
You can produce or record music, podcasts, book readings, teach classes, and more in the studio, run by well-known musician Tony Goddess.
The menu includes pub steak, Szechuan Salmon, roasted chicken, or halibut, fish tacos, vegetarian options, and plenty of creative appetizers. There's a vast menu of cocktails and mocktails too.
The all-day menu from 11:30am – 10pm begins on December 18. The Cut Live is at 177 Main Street, Gloucester, Massachusetts.
