As Schooner Adventure celebrates her 100th Anniversary, we're bringing back one of Gloucester's favorite traditions with a fresh twist. Born from the legendary Codfish Cruise—Adventure's beloved "anti-gala" for many years—the Halloween Halibut Hoedown carries that same irreverent spirit into Adventure's centennial year.

Join us at The Cut for an evening of live music, dancing, costumes, and maritime merriment as we celebrate a century of Gloucester's iconic fishing schooner. Whether you arrive as a dory fisherman, a giant halibut, a glamorous 1920s flapper, or any fishy creation in between, costumes are highly encouraged. This is Gloucester's most delightfully offbeat Halloween party, where the city's rich fishing heritage meets the fun and creativity of the season.

The evening will feature live entertainment, our crowd-favorite Pumpkin Cod-Fish Carving Contest, costume contests, and a Fish Market Full of Candy, putting a salty spin on classic Halloween traditions. Throughout the night, guests will also have the opportunity to celebrate Adventure's remarkable first century and help ensure her next one.

For one hundred years, Schooner Adventure has connected generations through Gloucester's maritime history, craftsmanship, and community.
